During the period 2-5.12.2019 representatives of Scortel Ltd. attended the annual Inmarsat regional conference. The event is held every year in different countries / cities, and this year it was in Barcelona (Spain). About 400 participants from 180 companies/distributors of Inmarsat from 33 countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa attended the event.

A schedule for launching the next satellites into orbit was presented at the conference – GX6А – 2020, GX6В – 2021 – with an emphasis on service development to L-band, supporting the new generation 5G, as well as the global security services GX7, 8 and 9 – 2023, focusing on the capacity and flexibility of GX, GX10А and GX10-В aiming to improve services in the Arctic region – 2022.

The main courses of company development and services offered were pointed out at the meeting:

• Global Xpress with direction – Fleet Xpress, GX aviation and GX for government
• L-band with applications in navigation, aviation, land transport and for military uses
• Digital - securing solutions for Smarter Pipe, Digital Marketplace and Big data

The expected profit for 2019 is around 400 million USD. There are more than 8 000 vessels where have been installed Fleet Xpress, and there are signed contracts with 27 airlines for GX Aviation, Jet ConneX (high speed Wi-Fi) is activated on more than 600 business planes.

A number of meetings and discussions with different partners and suppliers of Scortel were held at the conference.
