On 19.05.2022 in the city of Varna, a professional seminar in reference to the implementation of a project „I2VMS – Integrated Innovative VMS for boats and small ships“ supported by the Norway Grants 2014-2021, in the frame of the Program Business Development, Innovation and SMEs, Bulgaria, priority area "Innovations for green industry" with contractor Scortel Ltd. was held at NATO Hall at VVMU “N. J. Vaptsarov ”.

Guests at the seminar were a wide range of representatives of business, the academic community in the face of VVMU "N. J. Vaptsarov ”and the Institute of Fisheries Resources, and key state institutions related to the sea and maritime transport, such as the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture and the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company.

During the seminar, the audience was introduced to the concept of i2VMS, its goals and prospectives, progress in the implementation of the project itself, as well as the future new projects in the field of maritime information systems with national and international cooperation.
An active discussion took place at the end of the seminar where the lecturers from Scortel gave additional explanations on the topics discussed.
